Meet Evan Rolfe '24
Flexible Learning While You Work
Evan Rolfe has big goals. Now that she’s earned her undergraduate degree from Loyola University New Orleans, she’s not slowing down. Next, she’ll complete pre-med courses and eventually apply to med school. Loyola Online provided her with the flexibility to prepare for her future career without missing a beat.
“Loyola Online has helped me achieve my professional goals because going back to school online allowed me to work full time,” Evan explained. “In the future I want to be a physician, and in order to do that, you have to have direct patient care hours. By working full time as a student, I've actually already achieved all of those patient care hours.”
Making the Pivot to Online
Although Evan started as an on-campus learner, she made the pivot to Loyola Online once she learned about the Bachelor of Applied Science degree, which allowed her to choose specializations in psychology and business to support her future career plans. She was able to connect what she learned in the classroom to her role working full time at a cardiovascular clinic.
“If you're considering going to Loyola Online, if you are a very busy person or you know you just don't have the time or don't have transportation to go to in-person classes, it's definitely the way to go,” Evan said. “And also, you have a lot more time to do things that may help you in your career.”
